Personal training for 12 year-olds and teenagers

We offer personal training for children 12 years of age or older. Feel free to call us on 3161 9587 to discuss. We have several clients whose teenage children train with us. Children’s health and fitness is a key issue in society today and we strongly believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle and exercise programme for them.

Outdoor sport, health and fitness training in local parks or for school groups is available upon request.

Some of our clients have children who can amuse themselves and we are happy to accommodate them on our lounge while their parent/s train.

Importance of children’s health

The Australian Government’s Department of  Health and Ageing say, “Good nutrition healthy eating and regular exercise are important in preventing diet-related conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and some cancers. Regular physical activity and healthy food can make a difference in preventing these diseases.”  They also say, “Most Australian children are healthy and doing well, but we can always do better.” The Queensland government have developed the “The Get Up & Grow: Healthy Eating and Physical Activity for Early Childhood Settings Guidelines“.
